Amandla. Awethu. Power to the people.

In South Africa's fight for freedom, a leader raised a fist and called "Amandla!" and the crowd answered "Awethu!" Power is ours. You know the words in English. Our two teams each carry half of the call.

It means "power"

Team Amandla

Say it: ah-MAHN-dlah

The call. Twelve golfers and a playing captain.

Singles. Every man plays for his own point.

Teams are drawn on your second night in Johannesburg and balanced on handicap, so a 22 counts as much as a 6. You can name one man you want on your side. The trophy is a carved baobab, engraved with the winning team and brought back every year.

You remember the fight. Now you stand where it happened.

You watched it on the evening news and marched for it at home. Four visits are part of this trip for every guest, with local guides and no schedule to rush.

Questions men ask before they book.

Do I have to be a good golfer?

No. Teams are drawn and balanced on handicap, and the first two rounds are team formats. If you can get around a course, you can help your team.

Can my wife or partner come?

Yes. Up to twelve companions travel with the group, stay in the same hotels and join every shared day and dinner. On golf days they have their own hosted program.

    Can I bring my children?

This trip is for adults 21 and over.

    How do flights work?

You book your own seat on the group flight from Atlanta or Newark, so you keep your miles and your choice of cabin. A host flies with each group. We can book it for you for a flat fee.

What if I need to cancel?

Your deposit is refundable in full until 15 December 2026. After that, refunds depend on what the hotels and courses return, which is why travel insurance is required.

What if the trip does not fill?

If fewer than twelve golfers have reserved by 15 December 2026, you choose between a full refund and a seat on the October 2027 trip.

    Do I need a visa?

Check the current entry requirements for your passport with the US State Department before you book. We will send a checklist with your confirmation.

    Reserve a seat.

A $1,000 deposit per traveller holds your place among the 24. You will see your full payment schedule before you pay anything.
